You can probably count on one finger the number of soccer camp companies that have
staff that work with Rooney, Ferdinand, Nani, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes etc week in and
week out. However, our featured exhibitor at Booth 211 is that single company,
Premier league Academies.
This summer, Manchester United, Senior Sport Scientist, David Kelly, will be running specialized soccer camps in Georgia. These camps will be soccer and science rolled into one week in-depth camps. Do you want to train like Rooney? Well seeing as David designs the training programs for Wayne, you can. David's role requires him to prepare the first team players (Rooney, Ferdinand, Nani etc.) before matches and during training. David is responsible for ensuring that the players work to maximally achievable training loads on a daily basis with minimal injury occurrence, utilising state-of-the-art GPS and heart rate technologies.
No other company currently working with players on soccer camps in the US can possess staff that work with players at the highest level in the game. This is what puts PLA camps
in a different league to any other camp program currently available.
PLA staff are working with the academies in England under the recently launched Elite
Player Performance Plan (EPPP). This is designed to set a high standard of coaching at
academies throughout the country. The staff are selected based on their qualifications
and experience of working with players age 7 -18 in b academy and 18-35 at the first
team level. Our staff also have experience of coaching in the US with players of all age
and abilities. Our Academy Director of Coaching is Simon Davey, UEFA Pro License,
UEFA A License and FA Academy Managers Licensed coach. |
